Biography
:
Andy Martinez is a Social Psychologist. He received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow with the Human Emotions Research Lab (George Mason University in Virginia) and the U.S. Army (in collaboration of the University of Pennsylvania). Before joining Sonoma State, he lectured at Sacramento State, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley. His theory-driven, empirical research investigates: social cognition (focusing on perspective-taking and dehumanization) and emotion (focusing on compassion and happiness).
