Biography

Dr. Meri Storino is adjunct faculty in the Departments of Psychology and Counseling at Sonoma State University. She has been teaching at SSU since 2001. Dr. Storino earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and a Master's degree in Psychology, with credentials in School Psychology and School Counseling, at Humboldt State University. After working for several years as both a school psychologist and school counselor, she obtained a Ph.D. in Special Education, Disability and Risk Studies at UC Santa Barbara. Her specific research interests include risk and resiliency, as well as systems level prevention and intervention in schools.
